My Moms Bread

Don't got lecithin or have more time?  Here is my mom's bread recipe for half and half wheat/white bread.  This one tends to be fluffier.

In a bread maker place these ingredients in this order (that's important)

1 2/3 cup water
4 1/4 cups flour
2 tsp salt
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 Tbsp dry milk
2 Tbsp Shortening
1 Tbsp Yeast

Set it on bread dough setting.  Once finished, place in two greased bread pans and rise for 25 minutes.  Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.

Baking in the oven instead of the bread mixture makes it fluffier.
